My wife and I went to Target to pick up some misc. items and was wondering what to do for dinner.  I would have to say almost every fast food restaurant in Arnold, MO has fried food.  Fried food is something that I’m trying to completely stay away from.  So we drove around and hit baptist chruch road where there was a Jimmy Johns.

Jimmy John’s is a fun sub sandwich restaurant. I didn’t have my iPhone with me so I didn’t get a chance to look up the calorie content ahead of time.  I went with sandwich #1 called the Pepe.  I think the 7-grain bread is what shot the calories to the roof. Here is what I had:

#1 Pepe: (Smoked Ham, Provolone Cheese, Lettus, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, 7-Grain Wheat Bread, Gray Poupon Dijon Mustard): 835 Calories
Jimmy John’s BBQ Potato Chips(1/2 bag – 2 servings per bag): 160 calories

My take on the sandwich is that it fealt very clean and healthy. I didn’t feel overly stuffed after eating it.  The 7-grain Wheat bread was very tasty. The key to Jimmy John’s is go to their web site and figure out what you are going to have ahead of time.  The web site is pretty awesome.  You can create your own sandwich and find out what the total calorie content is when you add everything up.

For desert I went home and had a Skinny Cow Vanilla Caramel Cone: 150 Calories
Total for dinner: 1145 Calories

Total for 7-27-2008: 2725 Calories
