As a lot of my friends and family know I have dealt with a weight problem for over 11 years now.  Before getting married in June of 1998 I weighed only 205lbs.  Not to blame my weight on getting married, but it seemed I cared a lot more about being healthy when I was single.   After struggling to simply play a game of golf on April 11, 2009 I have had enough!  Today was my last day of eating anything I want without any control.

As of Monday April 13, 2009 I’m starting back up the Fatmanonadiet.com web site with more content, reviews and resources to help people in the same situation as myself.

My plan is still to count calories but also watch the fat content of each food I eat.  When I weighed only 205lbs I worked out at the gym a lot more and also supplemented my meals with EAS meal supplement shakes.  I found the EAS meal replacements were a nice high protein snack that took care of the 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. snack times.

With Twitter I also have found that there are other people that are dealing with the same situation I am. So I hope that I can get some involvement and learn from others what works for them.

My biggest struggles are eating right and being creative with homemade meals.  I know also that I have to get off my butt and go to the gym on a regular basis.

The tools that I’m planning on using are as follows:

  • Iphone for taking pictures of different meals.
  • iLoseIt! iPhone application to track calories.
  • WordPress Blog to journal my meals and activities each day.

I look forward to this new journey and hope that you all can help me with food ideas and encouragement.

Thank you,

Jason
